Dr Liezl - GP-Med
Dr Liezl Otto

MBChB - University of Pretoria (1999)

Board registered General Practitioner MP 0530794

I’m a qualified medical doctor with a deep passion for patient care, especially for the more vulnerable. I qualified at the University of Pretoria in 1999 and began my career in Ermelo (where I grew up), getting valuable experience working in outpatient clinics, general private practice and theatre, assisting with various surgical procedures.

After dedicating several years to raising my four wonderful daughters, I’m now embracing a new chapter as I return to clinical practice with a strong sense of purpose and a deepened understanding of life’s many stages. My patients are my absolute passion as a Primary Health Care Provider in all aspects of medical care. Children (pediatrics) and female wellbeing are my fields of special interest.

My approach to medicine is rooted in compassion, careful listening and treating each person as a whole. I believe healing often begins with being heard and truly seen.

Outside of medicine, I find joy and grounding in my faith and nature — whether hiking on scenic trails, walking along the ocean’s edge, or simply spending time outdoors with my family (my husband is also a dedicated GP). These moments bring clarity, calm and a renewed appreciation for the simple joys in life.

Dr Yolande Le Roux

MBChB - University of the Free State (2022)

I grew up in the small town of Henneman, located in a rural farming community in the Free State. I graduated in 2002 as a Medical Doctor at the University of the Free State. After my Internship (Tygerberg Hospital) and community service (Piet Retief) I worked in the UK as a RMO. On my return to Cape Town, I worked as a a GP. After my marriage (he is also a medical doctor) we relocated to Centurion, Gauteng where I worked as a GP in a busy family practice, gaining valuable experience. Currently our family lives in the Helderberg area . My two lovely, busy daughters are the center of our daily lives: keeping me and my husband on our toes.

To be a Primary Health Care Provider is my passion. I have an holistic approach towards my patients. I believe in the empowerment of the patient, to help patients make informed decisions regarding their health care. My approach is preventative and supportive and strives for a long-term doctor-patient relationship of trust and respect.

As a committed mother, I appreciate children and have a special interest in pediatrics. I believe that diet and the right food play an important role in the prevention of diseases as well as curing of all medical related conditions. Patients with mental health conditions, anxiety and mental trauma are welcome to consult, as I have a special interest in this medical field.
